The Royal Gorge...

With this time of year being pretty busy ministry wise and only getting busier with summer trips coming up, we decided to take three days and go on a mini vacation. We decided to travel to Canon City, Colorado and visit the Royal Gorge. The bridge at the gorge is the tallest suspension bridge in the world at 1300 feet. The park is great for kids with a petting zoo, donkey rides, an old west town (where we got an old fashion family picture), a carousel, a train ride, a gondola that goes over the gorge and much more. On the way back to the hotel we stopped at a really cool candy store and our girls went crazy! It was a blast. I think the indoor pool at our hotel was worth the whole trip for our girls. We are returning home tomorrow, but are stopping at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs for a tour on the way through.
**Funniest thing said since we've been on the trip:
After being caught running through the parking lot with out holding someone's hand, Sydney said "Daddy, I'm holding Jesus' hand." Classic...
